A Wellness Champion is a full-time employee of the University of Nebraska‑Lincoln who embodies and actively pursues well-being through a holistic lens. This role acknowledges an individual’s commitment to balanced wellness, while also serving as a voluntary communications liaison.
In this role, the Wellness Champion will:
- Share information and build awareness about HealthierU programs, resources, and events within their department or campus unit.
- Provide feedback on new offerings and initiatives via surveys and email correspondence.
In recognition of this service, Wellness Champions receive:
- Bi-weekly communications direct from the Associate Director, including sneak peeks of upcoming programs, events, and services.
- Early access to selected in-person events and programs.
- Exclusive access to Wellness Champion-only opportunities.
- An end-of-year celebratory luncheon.
Eligibility:
- Full-time employee at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- Employed for one full calendar year ( or a minimum of six months with supervisor approval)
Commitment:
- This role is a voluntary 1-year commitment. Applications will open in January and will close in October of each calendar year.
- Time commitment for this role is dependent on the desired level of involvement of each Champion. At a minimum, we ask that Champions read the bi-weekly emails, respond to the feedback surveys, share updates and announcements from the HealthierU program with departmental colleagues, and participate in Champion-only programs and events when appropriate.
