HealthierU Wellness Coaching is a free, confidential program designed to help University of Nebraska–Lincoln employees improve their overall well-being through personalized support, goal setting, and accountability. Whether you're looking to become more physically active, improve your eating habits, manage stress, sleep better, increase energy, or create a healthier work-life balance, a wellness coach can help you identify what matters most and develop a realistic plan for success.

What is a Wellness Coach?

Wellness coaches are health and wellness professionals who work collaboratively with clients to facilitate the achievement of self-determined goals related to balanced, healthy living. Wellness coaches are not intended to replace the support or guidance of physicians, registered dietitians, clinical psychologists, or specialized medical practitioners.

Through wellness coaching, employees can expect to:

  • Define Your Personal Well-Being: Clarify what holistic well-being means to you.
  • Set Meaningful, Achievable Goals: Establish realistic objectives that align with your values and are tailored to your lifestyle.
  • Identify and Leverage Personal Motivators: Explore intrinsic and extrinsic factors that inspire and sustain your commitment to positive change.
  • Discover Relevant Resources: Learn about on-campus and local wellness services, programs, and tools that support your goals.
  • Develop a Personalized Action Plan: Co-create a step-by-step strategy with your coach to implement and track your progress toward achieving your well-being objectives.
