Robinette Farm's Local Food Subscription Box

HealthierU is participating in the 2025 Mayor's Local Food Challenge by teaming up with Robinette Farms! Robinette Farms is a local family ran farm that grow Certified Organic microgreens and salad greens and raise 100% grass-fed beef. They have partnered with over 30 local producers to help our community have better access to fresh, locally grown and raised foods through their local food subscription program!  

Beginning on July 17, the HealthierU office, located in the University Health Center on City Campus, will serve as a new pick-up location for the Robinette Farm Subscription boxes. To learn more about this program check out the information below!

 

 

Only the Mayor's Local Food Challenge Subscription option will list the HealthierU pick-up location option. The first distribution will begin on July 17, 2025!

What is the 2025 Mayor's Local Food Challenge?

The 2025 Mayor's Local Food Challenge is an 18-week program designed to connect Lincoln businesses, schools, institutions, restaurants, and other organizations to take an active role in supporting the local food system. The program supports our communities efforts in building a thriving, resilient food network! How is HealthierU participating?

HealthierU is stepping up to the challenge by teaming up with Robinette Farms and serving as a produce subscription box pick-up location! HealthierU's goal for this challenge is to not only reach the highest level of commitment ( the Platinum Level) but to also create a more accessible opportunity for university employees to access fresh, local produce over the next 18-weeks. Robinette Farms Local Food Subscription

How does the Subscription Box program work? 

Registration

Robinette Farms makes it easy for Lincoln and Omaha community members to gain access to local, fresh produce! By becoming a member of the program, participants will customize a weekly box of locally sourced produce, including items such meats, vegetables, pastas, and more!  A few examples of the local artisans and farms that are included in this program include:

  • Burbach's Countryside Dairy
  • Cultiva Coffee
  • Country Lane Gardens
  • Le Quartier Bakery

There is no fee for signing up and the price of the box is dependent on what items are added to the order but there is a $35 minimum per delivery. 

Delivery and Pick-Up Information

Deliveries are scheduled weekly but participants have the power to adjust their shipments by skipping weeks( cancellation of weekly shipment must occur before Monday at 10 a.m.). 

Deliveries take place on Thursdays or Fridays (day and time of deliveries are dependent on location). Participants can choose to have you boxes delivered to one of the 8 pre-selected locations:

  • New Day Coffee + Smoothies (Hickman)
  • Hub Cafe (Lincoln)
  • Tamayta Spice Shop (Lincoln)
  • University of Nebraska-Lincoln, HealthierU Office (Lincoln)
  • Cafe Botanica (Lincoln)
  • Le Quartier Bakery (Lincoln)
  • Golden Badger Bakeshop (Lincoln)

Or you can select an at-home delivery option for an additional charge.

HealthierU Delivery Specifics (location option begins on July 17)

If you choose the University of Nebraska Lincoln option for the delivery preference, here are the instructions for pick-up:

Pick-up will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Thursdays at the HealthierU Office located at the University Health Center (550. N 19th st, Lincoln, 68508) in office 127. The office is located on the first floor of the building next to the Husker Pantry. If you park in the north lot next to the building and enter through the north main entrance, the office is the first door on your left. 

Parking:

Employees can park in the parking lot north of the Health Center in patient parking while picking up their boxes. Please be advised that if vehicles are left in the patient parking spaces for an extended period of time beyond the pick up timeframe will be subjected to receiving a parking violation from University Transit and Parking. 

Alternative Pick-Up Arrangements:

Please contact the Assistant Director of Employee Wellness, Annalisa Davenport, to schedule an alternative arrangements for pick-up if you are unable to make the 2-5 p.m. Thursday pick-up window.

ANY BOXES NOT PICKED UP AND CLAIMED WIHTOUT PRIOR COMMUNICATION BEFORE 4 P.M. ON FRIDAYS WILL BE DONATED TO THE HUSKER PANTRY/ FOOD BANK OF LINCOLN.
