HealthierU is participating in the 2026 Mayor's Local Food Challenge by teaming up with Robinette Farms! Robinette Farms is a local family ran farm that grow Certified Organic microgreens and salad greens and raise 100% grass-fed beef. They have partnered with over 30 local producers to help our community have better access to fresh, locally grown and raised foods through their local food subscription program!

Annual Mayor's Local Food Challenge
What is the Mayor's Local Food Challenge?
The Mayor's Local Food Challenge is an 18-week program designed to connect Lincoln businesses, schools, institutions, restaurants, and other organizations to take an active role in supporting the local food system. The program supports our communities efforts in building a thriving, resilient food network! How is HealthierU participating?
HealthierU is teaming up with Robinette Farms and serving as a produce subscription box pick-up location! Last year, HealthierU was awarded the Gold Level achievement and we are striving to earn Platinum this year! Robinette Farms Local Food Subscription
How does the Subscription Box program work?
Registration
Robinette Farms makes it easy for Lincoln and Omaha community members to gain access to local, fresh produce! By becoming a member of the program, participants will customize a weekly box of locally sourced produce, including items such meats, vegetables, pastas, and more! A few examples of the local artisans and farms that are included in this program include:
- Burbach's Countryside Dairy
- Cultiva Coffee
- Country Lane Gardens
- Le Quartier Bakery
There is no fee for signing up and the price of the box is dependent on what items are added to the order but there is a $35 minimum per delivery.
Delivery and Pick-Up Information
Deliveries are scheduled weekly but participants have the power to adjust their shipments by skipping weeks( cancellation of weekly shipment must occur before Monday at 10 a.m.).
Deliveries take place on Thursdays or Fridays (day and time of deliveries are dependent on location). Participants can choose to have you boxes delivered to one of the 8 pre-selected locations:
- Robinette Farms
- New Day Coffee + Smoothies (Hickman)
- Hub Cafe (Lincoln)
- Tamayta Spice Shop (Lincoln)
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln, City Campus Recreation Center (Lincoln)
- Cafe Botanica (Lincoln)
- Le Quartier Bakery (Lincoln)
- Golden Badger Bakeshop (Lincoln)
Or you can select an at-home delivery option for an additional charge.

HealthierU Delivery Specifics
If you choose the University of Nebraska Lincoln option for the delivery preference, here are the instructions for pick-up:
Pick-up will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Thursdays at the City Campus Recreation Center located at 841 N 14th Street, Lincoln NE. Boxes will be delivered to room 056, located directly to the right once you enter the Campus Recreation Center through the main entrance doors.
Parking:
Employees can park in the temporary deliver space ( pictured below) when grabbing their boxes.
Alternative Pick-Up Arrangements:
Please contact the Associate Director of Employee Wellness, Annalisa Davenport, to schedule an alternative arrangements for pick-up if you are unable to make the 2-5 p.m. Thursday pick-up window.
ANY BOXES NOT PICKED UP AND CLAIMED WIHTOUT PRIOR COMMUNICATION BEFORE 4 P.M. ON FRIDAYS WILL BE DONATED TO THE HUSKER PANTRY/ FOOD BANK OF LINCOLN.
